A goal of mine was to get straight A's, and i did.
Since i was little i always would plan out my school year, and i would plan out my academic goals each week, and every quarter. And one of these academic goals was to get straigt A's. What i enjoy about goal setting and plannig, is the fact that you can plan out your future. The entire reason people have goals is so that they can achieve them, and feel that they have accomplished a dream of theirs. This is similar to me because every year in middle school, my overall academic goal for the school year was to get straight A's. By doing this i would prepare myself for high school and setting goals. What i found difficult about this was the fact that maintaning the grades is difficult. Witht the amount of tests and projects we have, it is a difficult task to complete. What really worked for me, was the goal setting. With this goal writing down every week and quarter, it really allowed me to focus in on that one specific goal. My next step in this proccess is to maintan this goal for high school and on.

My PowerPoint proves that I have advanced in my knowledge about technology. I included my first powerpoint from the first unit to show that i have grown throughout the year. In my first one, i was unaware of the several errors i had whether it was spelling, or technological. And because of these errors, i recieved a low grade. Then in my most recent powerpoint, i became more aware, and made sure i had no errors. And because of this, i recieved a perfect score on my powerpoint. The thing i enjoyed the most was the fact that you can make it whatever you want, and nobody can tell you what design to have and what font to use. The thing that i found most difficult was the fact that you had to follow the rubric strictly. All though it was fun at times, it was hard to not stray away from the rubric because if you did, then you would not recieve a good score. What really worked for me, was the time period we had to create it. Because we had such a long time to create it, this allowed me to perfect it. The most important thing i learned from these two powerpoints, was that you should not procrastinate, because it could be fatel to your grade.

I recieved a 100% on my Unit 2 and 3 speech in U.S. History class- after

I recieved a 93% on my unit 1 speech in U.S. History class- before
Proof to show that i have improved in my public speaking, is to reflect back upon my first speech in U.S. History class, and to compare that to my second and third speech. In my first speech, i was unaware of the speech rubric, so automaticlly i was at a lower grade because i did not plan my speech based off of the requirments on the rubric. However, on my second and third unit project, and planed out my speech a little more carefully. This time, instead of paying attention to the information needed, i paid attention to more vocal elements. I made sure that i was not playing with my notecards or bouncing around, but to make sure that i had enough volume and i was addresing my audience. What i enjoyed the most was presenting. I enjoy speaking infront of a group of people, so i always enjoy that element. The thing i found most difficult was making sure that i did not fidget around with my papers, or slur my words together. What really worked for me, was my public speaking. When i was in elementry school, i took part in the forensics group and by doing this, this allowed me not to get nervous in front of a group of people. My next step would be to prepare myself for the future speech.
